this will take a couple of minutes

Life is hard! Especially for people who believe in fashion. For people who want to express something with fashion like a pianist does with a piano and a painter with his colours! Apparently now life's going to be hard for a lot more people than just us fashion expressionists. There is a new rule at my school! Actually not exactly NEW it's just that before there was no real punishment for breaking it. And now everything's changed my whole life is destroyed!!(my stupid school life which I actually -sometimes- love but pssssst don't tell anyone!) They don't want us too wear too short skirts/dresses/shorts what is paradox! Why do you think shorts are called shorts??? Oh right I remember because they are as long as a maxi skirt.
We now can not wear anything shorter than a hand or two depends on how it looks above the knee. Or something like that. There used to be the finger-tip rule but it seems to have been a quick goodbye.
What am I going to wear??? Tomorrow? The day after tomorrow? and than the day after that and the day after and after and after and after and after that?? There used to be some kind of fairness at school. What's happened?! Now there isn't just the bullies and mean teachers. No, now we can add a fashion censorship!
Our society is going under it's just a couple of years till people start asking why we need clothes because global warming will make the earth so warm that we'll be able to walk around naked (the playboy would go into insolvency)! And than fashion wouldn't be anymore! Our blogs would all starve to death because they can't tell about the beauty of clothes and the beauty of mixing them and create a clowns costume (or something else funny like superhero or have you ever tried to dress like a plant?).

THE HISTRIONIC PART DIED HERE IN A TRAGIC AND ADVISED ACCIDENT

Frankly I don't know what to wear tomorrow to school. It's going to be hot and my brain will frizzle like a sausage during class. Great prospects…
Usually I don't really think about what I am going to wear the next day (exceptions are parties, events, times when I get a new dress for something special you know what I mean…) I just like my clothes to show what I am and as I often change the mood (almost every day) unexpected I can't really plan what I want to wear. And I am not the kind of person that wears especially short skirts and dresses. No, I just wear the kind of length the dress has that I happen to like. Sadly labels like H&M, Zara, Forever21 and Mango are made for the big crowd and the big crowd are women who want to buy clothes in which they look good and sexy.
Of course for some people a mini skirt isn't the best way to look sexy what  a lot of people in my opinion don't really seem to get. Anyway everyone's free to choose what they want to wear that's what makes fashion interesting.
Labels which do fashionshows often have longer skirts than H&M or something. Like Christopher Kane (spring 2011), Marc Jacobs (dito)… The reason is of course that they are free to let their creativity walk miles away from what's called mainstream. That's why some like them (other just like them because they want to like the same stuff some people like) and that's why they are more expensive ( and of course factors like name and quality make them more expensive, too).
Okay now I have written too much, right? No one wants to read that much! So here I found a little picture of Karl WHO? and his muse or whatever Baptiste Giabiconi is.

I wanna wear shorts like these to school!! Why can he and I can't?? Now I probably won't buy myself some short jeans rip them up and attach some pins to it.
;(
Here the trailer to one of Lagerfeld's short films. You can watch the whole film on chanel.com if you want to but you'll have to find it by yourself I'm too tired to search for the link again sorry.

This is the end of too long post and by the way I forgot to mentioned that I'm back. I got so angry about that rule that I completely forgot to tell.

adios

I = me, flying to a place where no internet exists (no not the mars), staying there two weeks and coming back burned by the sun (hopefully not looking like a lobster)
Welts Art = the blog will stay in a place where the internet does exist but sadly no one will update it as I (the most important blogger) will be in place where no internet, no person and no computer or whatever can reach me
You = my readers (I loooove you so much blablablabla (okay, okay I do like you, I admit it) to be continued when I get back) you will stay here all by your own and I really hope you'll make it, let me know if the wilderness of the internet has taken over or you've been eaten by a tiger, anyways I will miss you

∆gotta pack now, we're leaving for the airport in 4 hours and it's already after midnight so I'm not sure wether  I'll get some sleep tonight Ω

don't look at me that way

source: loveth-music

Actually this isn't really a post about the designer. It's about rebels. Fashion rebels. And all the others.
I think a lot of bloggers see themselves as rebels. Actually it's not just us bloggers. It's almost every teen. Those little wannabes…
What else? Well all those revolutions in countries where people thought it was time for something new. French revolution, American war of independence… But it's always the same about rebells weather they are rebells like in Libya or fashion rebells. They want something new something they are ready to die for in fashion's case to die in a social standing way.
Already thinking what the hell has this to do with Tom Rebl? Well a girl at school was wearing this t-shirt about one of his fashion shows (you know those really cool shirts where the label's name is written on and the day of the show and some cranky stuff like a picture of the designer…) and on the back was first this picture from above (tom rebl blablabla) and below there was written FASHION REBELLS.
That made me think (like a lot of stuff does right now).

Btw the line above was the one I should be telling you what I thought about but I just think I'll do it differently and be a rebel! So it's the next line where I'll tell you about it.
When one becomes a rebel you have to try to settle your ideas, don't you? And then when you have become the new regime you've achieved what you wanted. You are the new regime. But there will be again people who are against the new regime. And they probably want to see their ideas realized too so they'll be the new rebells.
And the old rebells? They'll be the new bad ones. The old, which has to be renewed.
It's weird and I never thought about it. But it's the way it is.
When Franco took over the regime in Spain he in the end was replaced, too.
And it's the same with fashion rebells they come and go. And mostly people who call themselves rebells aren't any rebells at all. They just would like to be some but they are doing what some others are already doing. Going against fashion magazines. Not doing what everybody else is doing.
Frankly a fashion rebel is someone who you wouldn't even have thought of caring about fashion. Because a lot of people are driving on a very narrow road where there's not enough room for everybody.
And so they pretend the others wouldn't be there but they are. They are the road holes. Annoying for some people, great for others cause they jump of their seats and have fun.

life's not fair

Some people really need some big new problems so they can stop criticizing me! Telling ME I'm impolite! Really, what kind of new bulling is that supposed to be? It would be normal if my mom would have told me that but not a girl in the cafeteria (and it had nothing to do with my eating manners because I was already finished)! I was just sitting there waiting till V would have finished eating up the fries of someone else (yeah they are people who apparently don't like fries that much) and while that I was just looking around. Then I saw someone I knew (okay you know a lot of people at school but I mean people you actually talk to, more often than just two times a year) and I kept looking at them. So they came over and sit and front of us and one of them just felt she should say how impolite it is to look at people the way I looked at them.
Gosh I hate such people! People telling me that I am impolite while they are as rude as some pig sitting in a restaurant and trying to eat lobster! Okay that's a bit too much, not that rude but I think people who are texting all the time while you talk to them are very rude.
Frankly a lot of people seem to get everything wrong. Every time I do or say something they just misunderstand. I say:"Oh hey!" They understand:"OHHH heeey…" In that way people say it when they are not happy to see that person.
So no wonder after this awful day (biology test-.- and someone my age told me I'm being impolite by looking the way I look what actually is something to laugh about :D cause a) who cares ? b) it's just the way my face looks like when I'm bored or just while I watch people who I don't really find interesting. If they would be interesting I'd probably look totally interested!) I was in the mood of doing some kind of mood board.

the people who are supposed to save our world

I am new.

 I am different.

 I

am super girl!

Now starts the laughing (ahahahahahhihihihihihhohohhohheheh… to be continued -shit I forgot the not before the to-) How I had this shiny idea? I don't know anymore because I made this pictures a week ago or even two weeks and I was to bored to do anything about them. But I kind of remember thinking about supermen and why they dress the way they dress because let's face it they dress rather ridiculously and stupidly.
Like the probably most known superhero: SUPERMAN
He really looks a bit strange in his blue-red thing, it's such a cliché (what is okay in his case because he was one of the very first)

But he is pretty new and that's why I think they could have done it better thought probably it was the point to make him look a bit ridiculously as he hasn't really got any powers…

I couldn't stop laughing when he first tried on his costume. He looks like a kindergarden kid! But that's just why I love this movie they are all absolutely crazy!!

The incredibles! I am a huge fan! I just love the story, the animation, every single detail! Besides, the costumes are okay but actually -almost- all superman costumes are OKAY. They just aren't  really creative…
I think supermen should have better costumes, some which make them look like I don't different than they already look.

dunno what topic to choose??

I know I should be in bed by now but I just can't go to sleep without writing something… And I do NOT want to write that report I have to write for school or even worse do homework… And for the being in bed I'm lying on my bed, I'm just not in the sleeping phase of "being in bed", not yet.
Blogger kind of sucks right now cause it takes decades to upload soem pictures here and it's not our rooters fault, I've already checked on that.
I kind of wanted to do an outfit post today but than I already had changed my clothes and I'm a real lazy person so that's why you won't see more of me than my hand/fingers here.
I never used to use (creepy sentence "used to use"??!?) nails polish. But right now I'm really into it. I Just think that if you have like really short fingernails you shouldn' pu on a polish. It just looks like shit. But I also don't like poeple who have nails that look like pocket knives.
When I was little I hated to cut my fingernails so often they were long and my old piano teacher always told me to cut them cause you need short nails to play the piano (blablabla I hated it!!!). A friend gave me this really cool polish which is called graffity polish or soemthing I dunno… anyways it's really cool you put it on and then it shrinks or something!

I put on a polish underneath the shrinking polish. I bought that lousy polish a year ago because everybody was going crazy about that color that looked like mud. Yeahh mud actually pretty stupid if you think about it. I went to the shop but they had like thousands of colors like that and so I just picked out one of which I thought it could look like mud… After putting it on I realized that I just had spend almost 6 € on something I never ever wanted to use again. The problem was everybody else had a color which was more like brown and actually pretty nice. But I had bought this stupid color which actually looked like this dirty mud you see on building lots. It makes my skin look sick!
But it's a waste not to use it so I'm kind of obligated by myself to wear it. Thank god I found a way to wear it that doesn't make me sick.
With the graffiti polish it looks kinda cool…

mixed like a cocktail

(Yigal Azrouel spring 2011 style.com

Is there any difference between women's clothes and men's clothes? There used to be a difference a hundred years ago… still 50 years ago you could notice the difference. But when you look at some fashion shows today you can see that if you'd change the male models for female ones everyone would juts say it's womenswear. Kind of creepy… because when I was younger I wanted to be a boy, not a girl. I named all my stuffed animals with male names and I loved to fight against my little brother. I also loved the male heroes in all those Disney movies. I always wanted to be Peter Pan!
The women always looked so defenseless without a man and the men women were just fighting all day, having fun. You see why I wanted to be a boy not a stupid, boring girl, don't you??
Not that I wouldn't have admired any of the women in the movies. I was a big fan of Cinderella and Pocahontas and Mulan and Sissi! I was a huge fan of Sissi! I loved her clothes and I loved her "boyfriend" actually not boyfriend but the prince she was in love with. Pretty girly but I was obsessed with it. I kinda told my friend who never saw it all about the series in lower school. She just told me this week how boring it was to listen to me.
I still kinda want to be a boy sometimes. Boys have it so much easier than girls. We have a teacher who gave us girls more homwork just because she saw something in the tv a bout boys being neglected at school. Apparently boys are being neglected because girls weren't good in science and maths so they got all the teachers attention and now the poor boys need more attention so they can get better.
WHAT A CRAP?!
So lately I've been thinking about how to be like one of those male fantasy heroes. I also found a way!
I admit my first try isn't like really whooming but it was really early in the morning when I got dressed so I just picked out what I was thinking about in relation with a hero.

(Chocolate easter bunny bell as bracelet!!)

Can you see who I am trying to be? It's PETER PAN! Green because he always wears green and the tie because he doesn't want to grow up. Neither do I but in the end I have a feeling. A feeling that tells me one day it might happen and not just like one day I'm a kid/ teenager whatever and the next I'm an adult. It will happen slowly and probably it already is happening. Wearing two things at the same time. Like a skirt and jeans. Something that doesn't go together but that's exactly what it's about. You don't leave Peter Pan behind you in one day you mix him with some other stuff until… (I wrote … because I don't really know what happens next).

denim like johnny

I wish it would be friday again. Not just because of the wedding, which I saw at my friends, also because of what it means that today is sunday! My friend is a huge fan of the wedding and had invited a couple of people over to brunch and watch the wedding. She had decorated so sweet with British flags and hearts and everything. It was a little bit like too much but in some way it's just fun when it's too much, right?
But today is sunday. Sunday… Why exactly is it called sunday?? There is nothing sunny about a day which ends the weekend or in this case the holidays. The funny part of my life! Thought school wasn't that bad until now. The problem's just I can't talk french!!!! An what am I supposed to do thursday about 2 o'clock p.m. (the hour of my death or the death of my grade in french)? Remain in silence. I bet I'll start talking english not french because I'll be so nervous.

Hopefully not!

Since I can think of it the last day of the holidays has been sad. Lying in bed, looking out of the window and listening at some old music. Today it's the Beatles. And Bob Dylan. But mostly the Beatles.
In the morning I first dress like really comfi (hoody, random pants) but then I wanted to clean up my room and while listening to the Beatles I just got into the mood of doing an outfit post.
I wanted to dress like John Lennon. I just bought this typiclly glasses thought there not as round as his and a denim shirt.
I don't know if it's really like Joh Lennon… It's more a mix between John Lennon, hippy (what he actually was so let's add that to the John part of the mix) and denim. Like a lot of denim. Actually only denim. But John Lennon wore a lot of denim I think at least that's what you see in the pictures. And he was British which kind of completes my British weekend.

I have four ties and three of them my uncle gave me. They are like really old I think… This one's my favorite it has such great color.
I put four denim things on. The overall, the west, the shirt and a jacket which I actually didn't put on I  only hold it in my hand.

shopping not buying

It's been almost 20 days!!! I have to write more often… I'm  really trying but… you know there's always a but.
Yesterday I went shopping with some friends and we actually didn't buy anything but we tried some stuff on.
There is a really cool vintage shop in Munich called Kleidermarkt. There are a couple of vintage shops here but they are all very expensive. This one is the cheapest. It has some awful wedding dresses really big and white and aaaaaahh (but also cool stuff)!

Thought that dress was size 40 it fit me pretty well. Actually I liked it but it's more a cocktail dress and I don't really need it. Thought it's soooo pretty!

A little bit a clowns dress???  I picked it out…

Carlie and Laura! Yes I have very stylish friends much more stylish than me. At least that day. Laura wore her grandma's clothes almost everything on her was her grandma's! Besides the shorts they used to be her father's. O boy I love that hat!!

That's what I wore yesterday. I finally figured out how to take pictures of myself in my room. It was bit of a problem with were to put the camera. It looks pretty good don't you think? Anyway the most important thing is me! ( I know HUGE ego) I wore blue Jeans and a white-beige sweater. I love that sweater I bought during sales in Zara. The belt is actually a scarf I hope you noticed that! Otherwise you should go visit your oculist.
The nail polish on the second picture is my favorite it's very springlike it reminds me a bit of juicy fruit but not too juicy.  A bit complicated I know…

The plot is just hilarious!

morp

Kids all over the world are influenced by the american live style (junk food, t-shirts with the american flag on it) that whole thing's called globalization! We did that topic in english class (you know how boring it is to write about why you can buy stuff from china???)
Anyway since the princess diaries and Gossip Girl I have a really specific view on prom. They all describe it as a very long night with awful tasting food, boring music, idiotic company and expensive hotel rooms/suits. I don't really know what sounds worse…
I also saw on the internet all those beautiful prom dresses. If I could choose between my grandma's closet and those dresses on the internet I would take my grandma's stuff (she actually is quite stylish).
Last year I got the teen vogue regularly and in the april issue there were some really good pictures of prom dresses. I actually didn't think they were prom dresses. I always characterize  prom dresses as long, ugly and uglier. But those were really good. A little bit in the beach, beige and old vintage style. I would were on of those immediately.

smile don't be aggressive! -minute later- how was I? you scared the front row!!!!

I was just about to twitter that there's no way I could make a new post today but it turns out I'm much more calm than I should be! I've been doing so much lately I just haven't been blogging and I kind of missed it so I left my books (only two, one latin grammar and the book with the texts we got to translate) for my computer and now I'm here sitting on my bed in my messy room (everything's lying on the floor… as usual) and blogging. I am happy!
Still a little part of my brain is whispering in my ear tomorrow's the test, tomorrow's the test, tomorrow's the test…

I've been wondering what people wore in the 90s around the time I was born and I remembered  this video I saw a year ago because I wanted to see what Claudia Fischer looked like on the runway. It's a total different era! And how the models walked down the runway! It was way better then, than how it's today I think. Now they just walk down the runway like some aggressive doll with their tiny body. Not really tiny but I mean they are so thin! They're tall but still tiny!
In the 90s they were allowed to laugh…

do not do realistic

(friends took these pictures of me and the piano is one of my own)

Some inspiration for the day.  I miss summer and wearing skirts and dresses and shirts without any cardigans. Almost all of teh pictures above I've edit and turned into something more unrealistic. But summer is unrealistic now so my inspiration has to be it too.
I think this is pretty interesting I found it on the National Geographic website:

alice's magic behind the stage

It's been the premier of our school play today. I didn't think so many people would like it but apparently the audition loved it. It was a remake of Alice in Wonderland. A really modern version… When I read the first line of the script I thought (-.-.-.-_-.-.-.-) that's the next play?! But it turned out to be better than I thought… I did the costumes of the queen's kids (there was also a king which saved all the poor lads who were damned to lose their heads) not alone of course my friends Annabelle and K did a great deal of work, too ;). We barely finished it on time by working all of us three and I can't imagine doing the whole thing alone alone. The princess dress we did all by ourselves means sewing and stuff… gosh that was hard work! Even harder than school and it was an after school activity!!

As I already said the premier was today and everyone was busy and getting ready for their parts. We had to do the styling and so we were kept busy the whole evening actually. But still we found time to style ourself in the wonderland style.
My friend Annabelle is very talented. Everything she touches becomes GOLD (sparkly and shiny as you can see in the picture)!!!
No serious she can draw and paint like an professional artist everyone wants her to finish their pictures in Art class. And when she styles you, you really are a very lucky person because you're gonna look like a goddess or god when she's finished.
Just look at her lips!!

On the whole table with the make up and stuff is glitter now thanks to the unicorn (which we had to style very sparkly it actually looked more like a mermaid…), Annabelle and me.

13 Mar 2011

having no brain/a brain

Remember the times when people used to ask every single student in class "What are your hobbies?" and you were all sitting in a circle because there was a new teacher, class mate or whatever? Remember also those girls wearing everything in pink and with glitter who used to answer "My hobbies…? Mmhh, ehhh… Shopping!"? If you don't remember because this never happened to you or you simply have a memory like a sieve then you probably know one-thousends girls who actually love to shop and when they would be asked what's your hobby they would answer "Does facebook count…? No…? Okay… ehh shopping…? "
My drear readers may I present the stylish girl who's interested in fashion:

Or better known as:

Yes, if you take a closer look ignoring the jewelry and the hairstyle you'll see it actually is the same person.
Some people think when you are interested in fashion you look like that. Blond, not having brain, wearing pink and glitter or let's call it the new way Juicy Couture. They think fashion is about that's what's in Glamour, Elle and Vogue, that fashion is shopping and when you love to shop you are the fashionista.
My hair is brown. I hated to shop when I was little and I hated pink and glitter. I still do. I don't wear Juicy Couture. I have a brain.
Does this all make me to someone who can't be interested in fashion?
Plus come one, me? The freaking girl who knows how to pick a lock, who's interested in computers, who's teaching herself to develop applications so she can code her own robot. Hey guys that girl likes physics! She's a total freak.
And she writes a blog about fashion.
That's one part f me tehsience part. But there's another part living in teh same body sharing the same brain. That part loves photographie, music and acting.
The freaking thing is just there is no part that is interest in fashion. there are only two parts of teh brain right part and left part.
The problem is both of my hemispheres are really trained. Means I can't just live with on epart of my brain. i need both. They both make me to what I am and that is why they need a project they can do together. Fashion.
That doesn't mean fashion is everything to me. To me everything matters. Almost everything… not that I'm a big fan of accounting… that's just not my thing.
fashion is an expression of myself. It includes both of my brain hemispheres.
That's why I think jane is much more a fahionista than Brittany or Quinn ( for those who don't know what I'm talking about it's Daria the TV series ). She just has something you can call style. She doesn't wear something because it's trendy. She wears it because she likes it.
But let's face it without blond, not having a brain, Juicy Couture wearing girls we would laugh less. r
At least I got a really interesting idea what would the world be like without those girls?
Some girls wouldn't exist and the  they couldn't laugh at me anymore… What would the boys do (the not brain having ones)???  Probably continue to laugh at me cause of my hair or my clothes…
For some there would change a lot like for the owners of Juicy Couture and their employees. They would get poor and just wear Juicy Couture clothes no one wanted to buy anymore and the employes would all get fired. Sad, very sad.
